Guangzhou's low-altitude economy reaches a new milestone – on 16 October, the city's inaugural low-altitude flight camp launch event took place at Guangzhou University Town's Qingchuanghui hub. The occasion unveiled over 100 application scenarios spanning ten key sectors, alongside two demonstration routes: one connecting cultural and tourism landmarks, the other dedicated to express logistics.
The Guangzhou University Town Low-Altitude Flight Camp, spearheaded by the Municipal Low-Altitude Flight Company in its construction and operation, will leverage the ‘intellectual hub’ resources of the university town to attract leading enterprises and innovative companies within the low-altitude economy. This initiative aims to foster the integrated development of technology and industry, driving innovation among low-altitude economy enterprises, revitalising the sector, and renewing its growth momentum.

At the event, the Guangzhou Low-Altitude Economy and Aerospace Industry Association was formally inaugurated. Two major innovation platforms, eight prospective enterprises, two innovation teams, and twelve key universities entered into strategic partnerships with the Guangzhou University Town Low-Altitude Flight Camp. It is reported that the camp will leverage the National University Regional Technology Transfer and Commercialisation Centre (Greater Bay Area) to enhance Guangzhou's low-altitude public support service capabilities. This initiative aims to establish a comprehensive low-altitude public support service system covering ‘pilot production and commercialisation – inspection and testing – airworthiness certification – safety assurance’, thereby building a premier low-altitude public support service hub within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Moving forward, Guangzhou will take its inaugural low-altitude flight camp as a launchpad to enhance coordination and strategic planning, accelerate the development of both physical and digital infrastructure, foster industrial innovation, and refine the supporting ecosystem. These efforts will propel the low-altitude economy towards accelerated growth and high-quality development.
