Pioneering Cross-Border IP Finance: HAYLION's Landmark Securitization Project Fuels Low-Altitude Transportation Energy Innovation in Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Zone​

On October 24, 2024, China’s first "dual-cross-border" intellectual property (IP) securitization project was officially launched in the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Hetao Cooperation Zone, with an issuance scale of 42 million RMB. Initiated by ICBC Shenzhen Branch and Shenzhen Guarantee Group, and supported by CITIC Securities, the project achieved two pioneering breakthroughs: cross-border IP pledge and cross-border fund subscription.

HAYLION (Hong Kong) provided credit enhancement by pledging its Hong Kong-registered patents, channeling financing to its Shenzhen parent company for the "City of Deep Space" low-altitude transportation project at Futian Port. Fosun International Securities participated as the first QFII in China’s IP securitization, boosting Shenzhen-Hong Kong cross-border capital flow.

Backed by Futian District’s "Trinity" IP finance mechanism (evaluation-pledge-financing closed-loop), the district recorded 13.921 billion RMB in IP pledge financing in 2024 (up 89.1% YoY). HAYLION leverages the funds to advance its integrated energy solution ("photovoltaic-storage-DC-flexible")—combining distributed PV, energy storage, and smart management—to support both ground ultra-fast charging and low-altitude vertiports.

Its phased strategy (technology verification → regional hub construction → commercial ecosystem formation) addresses eVTOL energy supply pain points, integrating ground and low-altitude energy networks into a green microgrid. The project exemplifies financial innovation empowering real economy, promotes Shenzhen-Hong Kong tech-finance collaboration, and provides a model for low-carbon 3D transportation energy networks, advancing the Hetao Cooperation Zone’s role as an innovation hub.
